Food from Farmers + Free Films

If you’re interested in urban agriculture or environmental sustainability, you’ll want to check out the free film screenings on Wednesday evenings this month after the Wintertime Farmers’ Market at Hope Artiste Village (1005 Main Street in Pawtucket). Sponsored by Whole Foods Market, the Do Something Reel Film Festival will be showing “four provocative, character-driven films focused on food, environmental issues, and everyday people” in honor of Earth Day this month, and has partnered with ecoRI to offer them at no cost to the greater Providence community. The first film, Bag It, is tonight! All films start at 7:30—visit www.DoSomethingReel.com to find out about the larger series, which is traveling around the country to spark a national dialogue. Thank you to the folks over at Whole Foods, ecoRI, and Hope Artiste Village for making these events possible.
